from Wednesday, March 17, 2021 to Friday, March 19, 2021 in Magdeburg at the Guericke Zentrum. This conference continues the tradition of bringing together researchers from various fields of liquid crystalline soft matter and beyond. The German Topical Meeting on Liquid Crystals has long become an international-scale workshop promoting an exchange of views among scientists working with Soft Matter and, in particular, liquid crystals. Diverse topics cover a wide range of chemistry, physics, and application technologies of thermotropic and lyotropic liquid crystals.
In view of the prevailing pandemic restrictions, the organisers, in agreement with the Board of the German Liquid Crystal Society (DFKG) have decided that the Meeting is scheduled online. In case the situation is relaxed at the time of the meeting and participants are allowed to travel, we will be prepared to organise the Conference in hybrid form for a limited number of attendees present at the conference site. We will inform the participants in due course if this option is given.
In any case, all contributions of the meeting will be accessible via the internet for registered participants. We are happy to announce that the German Liquid Crystal Society covers all costs related to the organisation of the meeting so that the conference fee is waived for all online participants.
We hope to meet you in March at the Conference, stay in good health,
Ralf Stannarius, Andreas Menzel, Alexey Eremin Local organisers
